BEHIND THE SCENES

This is a behind the scenes look at the studio of Cryptovideography.com! The hardware here is the equipment we use to bring you the quality documentaries available on this web site.
This is a close-up of my editing software running on "Lurch", the editing computer. Lurch runs Video Deluxe 2.0  on a Windows 98 platform because it's faster. The silver cable running by the mouse is the firewire line to the camera. The microphone is an ATR55 Audi Technia. There are also DVD and VHS decks here. To the left of the computer is a harddrive backup system for storage of footage. But, the most important piece of equipment on this desk is not video related. It's the coffee warmer on the right! ;-) I also have a killer sound system with woofer for the best sound editing. Lurch is on the floor under the keyboard.

I have several cameras. I took this photo with my Aiptek DZo-V58 (not pictured) It's a portable Digital camera/camcorder with SVHS quality. I also have a Samsung HI-8MM camcorder (not pictured) that 'Swamp Apes' was produced with. The above photo is my Panasonic AG-DVC20 Camera. This and the portable are my primary field cameras. I use the HI-8 camera as a studio camera. The AG-DVC20 was photographed against my green screen which is on the other side of my studio.

There is probably nothing that I can't accomplish within this studio. I can so some limited 3D animation with a program I have on Lurch. (Simply 3D) and I have Photoshop. I use two editors and a Dazzle system to get video from other cameras or VHS decks. I also have an assortment of other software for effects and burning DVD's. Not pictured in the above photos are the large boxes I have of stock footage, effects, sound effects and stills/clipart. All royality free or licensed to me. I also have a multitude of microphones, both hand-held and laviler.  In the studio there are three computers. Lurch is pictured, P{hoenix is my online computer and web editor. It is on a desk to the left of Lurch. Then there is another computer running business software.
